DR. TANIA SCHMITFRANZ, PT, DPT, MS, C-IDN, GTS

Dr. Tania Schmitfranz is a doctor of physical therapy who opened her own clinical practice, St Pete Dry Needling, in January of 2022. She received her Bachelor’s degree in International Business & Economics and her Master’s degree in Public Health from the University of Arkansas, then went on to complete her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at the University of Florida. She has clinical experience in various settings, working with an assortment of populations such as professional/collegiate athletes, US Army special operators, amputees, Parkison’s disease, and post-surgical patients. Dr. Schmitfranz specializes in sports and orthopedics, holding certifications in Advanced Dry Needling, Graston, Functional Movement Screening, Kinesio/Rock Taping, and USA Weightlifting. Her interests outside of work include Olympic weightlifting, crossfit, sand volleyball, SUP, and kayaking/hiking with her dog Taro.
